B-25 Michell Bomber Stock Images. History Photographer Chris Star has just published a new set of B-25 Michell Bomber stock images.The B-25 Mitchell bomber, a twin-engine aircraft, was named after General Billy Mitchell.

"Maid in the Shade" flew 15 combat missions over Italy during November and December, 1944. The majority of the targets were railroad bridges.

Members of the Commemorative Air Force Airbase in Arizona spent 27 years working to restore the plane.
